About the Master Programme
The Master of Science in Digital and Interaction Design prepares designers to address the opportunities and challenges introduced by digital and emerging technologies.
Students learn to investigate people and contexts, identify design opportunities, and develop, prototype and evaluate complex interactive solutions. The programme brings together interaction design, user experience, cognitive sciences, digital technologies and innovation strategy through theoretical courses, design studios, intensive workshops and collaborations with companies and institutions.

Learn to understand people, behaviours and contexts while considering the social, ethical and environmental implications of interactive technologies.
Multidisciplinary and hands-on learning
Combine interaction design, cognitive sciences, digital technologies, prototyping and strategy through practical and project-based activities.
Collaborative and industry-connected opportunities
Work in multidisciplinary teams on projects, workshops and briefs developed with companies, institutions and external professionals.
An international, English-taught environment
Study in English and collaborate with students and faculty from different cultural and disciplinary backgrounds.
Learning Goals
The programme prepares students to manage complex interaction design processes, from researching people and contexts to defining opportunities, developing and evaluating interactive solutions, and assessing their wider implications.
Students develop the critical awareness, technical understanding and design skills needed to work independently and collaboratively in a rapidly evolving field.
Job Profile
Graduates become Digital and Interaction Designers able to manage the full design process, from research and strategy to prototyping and validation.
They may work as interaction, UX, service and experience designers, as well as designers of connected products and environments, in companies, consultancies, design studios, institutions and research teams. The Study Plan
The two-year programme progressively moves from shared foundations towards specialisation and independent design practice.
During the first year, students develop advanced knowledge in interaction design, user experience, cognitive sciences, digital technologies and innovation strategy, applying it through design studios and workshops.
During the second year, students deepen their interests through advanced studios, elective courses and a professional workshop. The programme also includes a mandatory internship and concludes with an individual thesis.
Type of Courses
The programme combines theoretical courses, design studios and intensive workshops.
Theoretical courses provide methodological, technological, strategic and critical foundations. Studios allow students to address complex challenges through research, concept development, prototyping and evaluation. Workshops offer intensive project experiences, often developed with companies, institutions and external professionals.
Elective studios
Students choose among alternative studios addressing different areas of interaction design.
Each studio guides students through a complete design process, from research and concept development to prototyping and evaluation, while focusing on a specific field or approach.
Elective courses
Students personalise their study path by selecting elective courses from the MSc programme and the wider offer of the School of Design.
Elective courses allow them to deepen specific interests, explore related disciplines and develop a profile aligned with their academic and professional goals.
