Plane Runner

Plane Runner is an endless runner game where you control a virtual plane with a physical toy plane.   The goal of the game is to go as far as possible in a given time without crashing, collecting packages that will give you more “gas” (time) during the game. Inside the built airplane prototype is placed a micro:bit, to use it as a controller since it has most of the sensors. At first, the game was built using Unity from scratch, then the micro:bit was connected using the UART over BLE. The prototype of the game was built with extra features using Figma and Protopie and finally the plane was built and designed from scratch so that every part fits seamlessly.  The components exploited are the accelerometer, to control the plane, the leds, to give feedback on the direction, the light sensor, to change the environment and the switch, to turn it on and off.
