JIGSAW

Jigsaw is an interactive music toy designed for kids 4+, which aims to educate about musical instruments in a playful way. The wooden board hosts 8 silhouettes of different musical instruments. When the piece is inserted into the proper recess, the toy emits the corresponding sound. From a technical point of view, as the magnet moves closer to the magnetic sensor, the sensor perceives the proximity of it and a positive input is sent to the Arduino. The input recognizes which piece has been inserted and activates the reproduction of the corresponding audio track thanks to the DF Player Mini. Through the interaction with this toy, the child can learn-by-doing. It represents an alternative way to discover instruments by associating sounds and shapes. The experience is amplified through the use of an app which offers different musical activities.
