People, in modern life, are often under pressure because of the job, the school or the society in general. This situation produces various negative emotions, such as anger, anxiety and depression, which can affect people’s behavior towards the others, sometimes exploding in episodes of violence.

The development of LED IT GO enables people to let the bad feelings go with a multi-sensorial experience in a safe and funny way. The product is an interactive punching bag whose name recalls the sentence “let it go”, which states the outburst of negative emotions, and the word “LED”, which refers to the main component of the product. Indeed, on the top of the bag there is a stripe of LED which shows different light colors from red to green, according with the feeling of the user, from a negative to a positive mood.

To start the interaction the person can simply punch the bag. In this way, the lights turn white and start blinking for 3 times (such as a countdown), then they turn red and the mode is switched to “PUNCH” (a white LED near the word will turn on). With each bump the stripe of LEDs blinks to give a visual feedback to the user (who can scream and yell in the meantime) about his/her level of relief. After around 20 punches the LEDs stop blinking and turn white again for some seconds so the user can be aware that something is changing and he/she has to decide if keeping punching or hugging the bag. In the first case the process will restart, in the second case a touch resistive sensor in the back of the bag will sense the “HUG” (a white LED near the word will turn on) and all the system will turn off.
